I'm Debbie and I'm the owner/designer of Natural Body Comfort and I have long lived with the day to day chronic pain of Fibromyalgia along with the symptoms of PTSD since being diagnosed in 1993 and truly know the benefits of how Hot/Cold Therapy can help provide relief and comfort.
Heat and cold are the two most common types of non-invasive and non-addictive pain-relief therapies for muscle and joint pain. Which one you use depends on whether the pain is new or recurring. In general, a new injury will cause inflammation and possible swelling. Pain that recurs can be treated with Heat, which will bring blood to the area and promote healing. Cold will decrease the blood flow to the injury, thereby decreasing inflammation and swelling.
